features

Hypericum amblycalyx is a dwarf shrub that reaches heights of 10 to 60 centimeters. Branches are only present below the previous year's inflorescence . The leaves are four-whirled. The calyx is glandless. The sepals are not very widened at the edge. The capsule is narrowed at the top and densely covered with obliquely arranged vesicles.

The flowering period extends from April to June.

Occurrence

Hypericum amblycalyx is endemic to Lasithi Prefecture of Crete . The species grows in crevices at altitudes from 0 to 1000 meters.
