The Hypovereinsbank company health insurance fund (HVB BKK) was a statutory health insurance company from the group of company health insurance funds based in Munich . It was open nationwide and a corporation under public law .

history

HVB BKK was founded on September 1, 1994 as the company health insurance fund of Bayerische Vereinsbank AG . It was initially only open to employees and pensioners of the Bayerische Vereinsbank and had 3,000 members. As a result of the merger between Hypo-Bank and Bayerische Vereinsbank, the name was changed in 1998 to HypoVereinsbank Betriebsskrankenkasse, or HVB BKK for short. On January 1, 2002, HVB BKK merged with the company health insurance fund of the Vereins- und Westbank in Hamburg . On July 1, 2002 the merger with BKK Gebr. Volkhard took place. Since October 1, 2003, HVB BKK has been open to all interested parties nationwide.

On January 1, 2014, it was incorporated into the Mobil Oil company health insurance fund .

Finances

In 2011, HVB BKK collected a total of EUR 76,858,000 and spent EUR 75,962,000. This generated a profit of EUR 896,000. Services accounted for 70,660,000 euros of the expenditure. This corresponded to expenditure per member of 2,878.76 euros or 2,018.98 euros per insured person.

Contributions

Since January 1, 2009, the contribution rates have been standardized by the legislature. HVB BKK has not levied any additional insurance contribution .

Board

The board of directors of HVB BKK consisted of two members who were elected by the board of directors: Gerhard Rachor was the chairman of the board and Yvonne Lips was the deputy board member. The term of office was six years.

Running club

Since 2005, the HVB BKK running meeting has been held twice a week in the English Garden in Munich. Participation was open to everyone, there were different performance groups for every fitness level. To increase motivation, prominent top athletes regularly took part. Service running meetings were held around once a month, at which experts from the fields of medicine, nutrition, psychology and equipment brought the participants up to date.
