Matjaž Rozman (born January 3, 1987 in Ptuj , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian football player on the position of goalkeeper .
Career
Matjaž Rozman began his career in the youth of his home club NK Drava Ptuj . At a young age he moved to NK Aluminij , where he made 36 appearances in two seasons in the second highest Slovenian league . In 2007 he went to the first division club Interblock Ljubljana and established himself there as a regular goalkeeper. With Interblock he won the national cup and the Supercup in 2008, when he won the cup in 2009 he was substitute goalkeeper behind Strajnar Janez . In the 2008/09 UEFA Cup he failed with the club in the second qualifying round at Hertha BSC , a year later the Europa League , the successor to the UEFA Cup, ended in the third qualifying round against Metalurh Donetsk .
In January 2010 he moved abroad and joined the German second division team SpVgg Greuther Fürth , where he signed a contract until 2012. Neither in the second half of this season nor in the first half of the following season, however, he was used. When regular goalkeeper Max Grün was injured in early 2011, he did not get a chance again. Rather, a new number one was signed up and the previous number three Jasmin Fejzić became his replacement. In his place, Rozman was used in the regional league team. In the summer of 2011 he therefore left the SpVgg. After a year without a club, he joined the Slovenian first division club NK Rudar Velenje and immediately became a regular goalkeeper. After three seasons as a regular he moved to the Croatian first class to NK Slaven Belupo Koprivnica , where he again acted as a regular goalkeeper.
After only one season he returned to Slovenia and was hired by NK Celje . There he was used for the full 90 minutes in the eight championship games after his move, then sat 13 games without a substitute on the bench and was once again the goalkeeper in the last seven league games. The first seven games of the 2017/18 season began Rozman under the brief coach Tomaž Petrovič as the first goalkeeper. From the seventh championship round he had to give way to Metod Jurhar , who was almost eleven years younger ; this took over from then on the role of the goalkeeper. Neither under Petrovič nor under Dušan Kosič , who followed in mid-September , Rozman did not make competitive appearances and has been on the substitute bench of NK Celje ever since.
National team
Rozman played five appearances in the Slovenian U-21 national team between 2008 and 2009 .
