Iñigo Díaz de Cerio Conejero (born May 15, 1984 in Donostia-San Sebastián ) is a Spanish football player . He has been playing with CD Mirandés since summer 2012 .

Career

Díaz de Cerio began his career in the youth teams of Anunciata Ikastetxea, Sporting Herrera and Antiguoko CF. In 2002 he was brought to the second team of Real Sociedad San Sebastián , which was playing in the Tercera División at the time. In the first year, the B-team was able to advance to the Segunda División B. The breakthrough on the way to professional football came for Díaz de Cerio in 2005/06 when he was able to score 26 goals in 32 games and was thus the top scorer of all four B groups and was brought into the first team.

He made his league debut on February 12, 2006 against Atlético Madrid , when he came on for Dalibor Stevanović in the 84th minute . In the following season they were relegated in 19th place, de Cerio completed 27 games this season and scored four goals. He scored his first goal in the top Spanish league on September 10, 2006 in the 3-1 defeat against Sevilla FC . After two more seasons in the Segunda División, he moved to Athletic Bilbao at the beginning of the 2009/10 season . There he played on November 5, 2009 for the first time at European club level when he was substituted on for Fernando Llorente in the 40th minute of the game against Portuguese representative Nacional Funchal .

He was awarded at the beginning of the 2010/11 season for six months to FC Córdoba in the Segunda División. He returned to Athletic Bilbao during the winter break of the season. But even in the following second half of the season he could not convince with his performances, did not fight for a regular place and was thus awarded to the second division CD Numancia for the 2011/12 season.

In the summer of 2012, they finally separated from Athletic Bilbao and switched to CD Mirandés in the Segunda División .
