The 2nd IBSA World Championships , (English: IBSA World Games or IBSA World Championships and Games ), the International Blind Sports Federation (International Blind Sports Federation ), took place from August 5th to 10th, 2003 in the city of Québec (Canada). Compared to the 1st IBSA World Championships in 1998 , the sports that were carried out had been significantly expanded. The competitions now included weightlifting , goalball , judo , athletics , swimming and tandem races .

Due to the great success, the IBSA World Championships became equal to the Paralympics .
