from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

participation

Juniors and youth competitors are allowed to compete in the IBU Junior Cup, provided they start in the junior class and meet the requirements for participation in the competition as juniors. Each IBU member association can register five male and five female athletes in the competition. The host nation and the countries that made it into the top ten in the Nations Cup of the World, IBU or Junior Cup of the preseason may also register two male and two female athletes.

Events

Any IBU member association can apply to host IBU Junior Cups. The venues with an IBU license are preferred, and those without a license are also accepted. Only four IBU Cups are held each season. The last cup is counted as an open junior European championship . In addition, the results of the Junior World Championships are included in the evaluation.

Each event should contain two to three individual, sprint, pursuit and relay competitions. Regional cups can also be held at the same time as part of the IBU Junior Cup, and if so, junior athletes have priority over participants taking part in the regional cup.
