The iC-Haus GmbH is a German company in the microelectronics industry and geography. iC-Haus develops, produces and sells electronic application-specific integrated circuits and specializes in the manufacture of mixed-signal iCs (iC: English integrated circuit , German "integrated circuit"), an electronic component and system-on-chip (SoC) and their integrations with sensors . The company, which has been based in Bodenheim since 1984 , operates branches in China, Japan, Brazil, Spain and the USA.

The product range includes position sensors in automation , robotics and motor technology, as well as the control of airbags in automobiles. In addition, driver circuits for semiconductor lasers and light-emitting diodes (LED) are manufactured and general electronic components such as I / O and interface drivers.
The company was founded on June 17, 1984 by Manfred Herz and Heiner Flocke. In 1993 the company moved into its first own building with 50 employees, and the company's headquarters have been in Bodenheim ever since. By 1997 the number of employees increased to 100 and the second building expanded to 3,800 m² for the production and development departments. In the same year the iC-Haus Corporation was founded in the USA.
In 2002 the design center iC-Málaga SL was opened in Spain, followed by branches in China and Brazil. In 2006, in addition to expanded office and development workplaces, the necessary manufacturing facilities were also created under clean room conditions .
iC-Haus is a founding member of the innovation platform Magnetic Microsystems INNOMAG e. V. with the aim of promoting magnetic microtechnology. IC-Haus is also actively involved in patentverein.de e. V. , a medium-sized initiative for patent quality and against abuse in the patent system . Since 2002 iC-Haus has supported its development BiSS Interface as an open source interface in position electronics with over 250 licensees worldwide. The company holds over 30 patents, mainly for driver iCs and in position sensors.
IC-Haus was awarded the AMA Innovation Prize 2012 for its work Energy Harvesting Magnetic Encoder . The energy-independent sensor generates the energy required for the sensor signal and the measurement signals to be counted from the movement of the drive. Operation without an additional power supply enables use in systems that are highly sensitive in terms of security and thus replaces complex mechanical solutions.
