ICTswitzerland
ICTswitzerland is the umbrella organization for the Swiss ICT industry. The association, founded in 1980, has 31 large and medium-sized companies (corporate members) as well as 21 member associations. ICTswitzerland represents their concerns to the public, the authorities and other associations, aims to promote and further develop digital technologies as well as the training and further education of ICT specialists. ICTswitzerland is also committed to identifying and defending against cyber risks.
history
In 1980 the umbrella organization was named “Switzerland. Association for Informatics SVI / FSI ”founded. Before that, the Swiss IT interests were in superordinate umbrella associations through Switzerland. Society for Automatic (SGA) has been noticed. In 1988 the name changed to Switzerland. “Association of IT organizations SVI / FSI”, restructured in 2004 and another name change to “ICTswitzerland”. The new statutes, which came into effect on January 1, 2013, provide for direct membership for companies.

The umbrella organization consists of the following bodies.
Assembly of delegates
The assembly of delegates forms the supreme body. The delegates are determined by the member associations and the company members.
Board
The board consists of representatives of the member associations, one representative of each direct member, the President of the Education Commission and the President of ICT Vocational Training Switzerland. In addition, representatives from politics, authorities, universities and other important personalities for ICTswitzerland can be elected to the board.
Board Committee
The board committee consists of the president, the vice-president and a maximum of thirteen other members of the board.
On March 16, 2017, National Councilor Marcel Dobler succeeded Councilor of States Ruedi Noser as President of ICTswitzerland . Vice-President is National Councilor Franz Grüter , succeeding Thomas Flatt. The office of managing director is held by Andreas Kaelin.
