The IDW Media Holdings is an American holding company headquartered in Stamford (Connecticut) , United States . It was created on September 19, 2009 as CTM Media Holdings and combines former divisions of the American telecommunications group IDT Corporation. In August 2015 it changed its name to its current name.
The spin-off came about because the IDT management wanted to concentrate more on its core business. In order to ensure the sole viability of CTM Media Holdings, the new company was given a large amount of cash and numerous deferred tax claims.
CEO Jonas Howard is also the majority shareholder and is committed to this activity until 2018. The WMET radio station in Washington, DC , which previously belonged to the holding , was sold to Huffines Media in February 2010 for $ 4 million.
Due to the increasing number of comic book sales and graphic novels, the company is now very profitable and was able to achieve an operating profit of 3.71 million US dollars in 2012.

IDW Publishing is a leading American publisher in the field of comic books and children's books. The publisher also achieved greater international recognition through in-house productions such as 30 Days of Night and Locke & Key .
The publisher places a large emphasis in its product range on licensed franchises for computer games, films and toys. More popular publications include comic series like Star Trek , Transformers , The X Files , GI Joe , My Little Pony, and Angry Birds .
One of the greatest successes to date was the first edition of the comic series My Little Pony. This reached over 100,000 pre-orders and was ahead of top dogs like Spider-Man and Superman in the month of publication.
In the meantime IDW Publishing has expanded its business field to include film productions and the board game market.
CTM Media Group
CTM Media Group is a marketing company specializing in the tourism market. The company operates the Internet portal Ettractions.com. Brochures and digital terminals are also sold across much of the United States.
CTM Media Group has not been profitable for years, as the economic crisis of 2008 left its mark on the advertising client's budgets.
