IF rune
IF Rune is a Swedish sports club from Kungsör . The now dissolved soccer team played for several years in the second highest Swedish league , the bandy team , which also no longer exists, for a year in the top division.

IF Rune was founded on April 28, 1908. In the 1930s, the club experienced its most successful period. While the bandy team played in the southern season of Division 1 in the 1935 season and was relegated there without a win of the season, the soccer team had already reached the second highest division in the previous year. However, she was relegated as penultimate table together with IFK Grängesberg from the northern relay. With 14 wins this season in 18 games, she relegated to second place in her third division season IK City and achieved direct promotion. This time too, the level was too high and the club accompanied Fagersta AIK into the third division, from which he rose again directly. Five points behindIFK Västerås failed to stay relegated again.
As a third division season winner, IF Rune only missed promotion to the second division in the summer of 1940 in the promotion round against Örebro SK . Placed in the front midfield in the following seasons, in 1943 when he was runner-up in the table, front runner IFK Kumla was missing four points to participate again in the promotion round. Two years later, the team behind Västerås IK was again runner-up, before they relegated to fourth division the following year as bottom of the table.
1955 IF Rune returned to the third division, but rose again two seasons later. After the direct resurgence, the club missed the direct march into the second division as second behind Malungs IF . After another second place in the 1960 season, he rose again at the end of the following season. In the fourth division, the club played for almost a decade, with the relegation to the fifth division in 1972, he said goodbye to higher-class football.
