Kungsör is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Västmanland County and the capital of the municipality of the same name .
history
Kungsör developed from a royal homestead that Gustav Wasa had laid out. The courtyard became one of Charles XI's favorite places . This king wanted the settlement to develop into a city and saw to it that a magnificent church was built. His son Karl XII. on the other hand had other interests and so the place only received the status of a minor city ( köping ).
