Paolo Bacigalupi
Paolo Bacigalupi (born August 6, 1972 ) is an American science fiction writer.
His work Biokrieg is about a gloomy future in which raw material shortages , famine and genetic laboratories are part of everyday life.
Bacigalupi's works have received several awards. For his first novel Biokrieg ( The Windup Girl ) he received the Hugo Award , the Nebula Award and the Compton Crook Award for the best debut novel . The Time Magazine took the work to its list of the ten best books of the year in 2009. The French translation La Fille automate received the Prix Une autre Terre in 2013 . The Roman Ship Thieves ( Ship Breaker ) from the year 2010 for the National Book Award nomination. The Tangled Lands collection, written together with Tobias S. Buckell , won the World Fantasy Award in 2019 .
