Sascha Mamczak
Sascha Mamczak (* 1970 ) is a German lecturer and editor of science fiction literature .
Life
Mamczak studied at the universities of Munich and Edinburgh First Political Science , Economics and Public Law . He then worked as a freelance journalist and for Tilsner Verlag . During this time he also wrote film and book reviews and was responsible for the entire editorial process of the science fiction media magazine, which appeared from 1986 to 1998 .
Mamczak has been an editor at Heyne Verlag since 1998 ; preferably for the Perry-Rhodan series . He has also been in charge of the entire fantasy, mystery and science fiction program within the publishing house since 2002, after Wolfgang Jeschke performed this task for almost thirty years, especially in the latter area . Since 2003 Mamczak has also published the almanac The Science Fiction Year . In this capacity, he was awarded the Kurd-Laßwitz Prize in 2016.
