The IGS Nordend is a comprehensive school in Frankfurt .
The twin buildings of today IGS Northrend 1906 in architectural forms of neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau designed by the Frankfurt city Commissioner of City Planning Gustav Schaumann in collaboration with engineer R. Restle built. They were originally used as a boys ' elementary school (Günthersburgschule) and girls' elementary school ( Comenius school).
The School was founded in 1989 by a decision of the magistrate set of Frankfurt am Main in the buildings of Günthersburgpark school and the Comenius school. The school contains the years of school classes five to ten; it was first recorded in 1996 with all years.
