The IMAM Ro.30 was a three-seat Italian reconnaissance aircraft . The prototype of this one and a half-decker flew for the first time in 1932. Two pilots shared a conventional cockpit in front of the wing; a second small cockpit was provided for the observer behind the wings.

The series machines, which were produced in small numbers, were driven either by a Bristol Mercury radial engine with 390 kW / 530 PS built by Alfa Romeo or by the slightly weaker Bristol Jupiter VIII radial engine with 368 kW / 500 PS manufactured under license by Piaggio .

Furthermore, there was the possibility of installing a fixed observation camera or radio and night flight equipment that was not yet taken for granted at the time . The Ro.30, which was only used in limited numbers, was replaced by the IMAM Ro.37 from 1934 onwards .
