The INIT AG for digital communication is a global full-service IT provider for online communications and IT services with BSI-certified data center security. The company's headquarters are in Berlin.
Init was founded on December 14, 1995 by Dirk Stocksmeier and Heinrich Buschermöhle as "] init [GbR for digital communication and Internet automation". On September 9, 1999, the company was converted to "] init [AG for digital communication".
The company employs around 670 people at locations in Berlin , Hamburg , Cologne , Mainz , Munich and Brussels . With an annual turnover of over 41 million euros, Init is one of the top-selling internet agencies in Germany. The company's business focus is on agency and system house services in the area of e-government for governments, administrations, foundations, associations and in the area of e-business .
Init provides services in the areas of Strategy & Consulting, Creative & User Experience, Development & Solutions, Content & Support and Operations & Application Management.
Since it was founded, over 12,000 projects have been completed for more than 500 customers. Customers include numerous ministries and authorities at federal and state level. Init oversees the online communication of the Federal Government's Press and Information Office , the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy , the Federal Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and numerous subordinate authorities. In the financial market area, Init works for the European Central Bank , the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Deutsche Börse . In the Industry segment, Init oversees online communication for Continental AG and DB Schenker, among others . In an international context, Init is responsible for the Abu Dhabi e-government portal and has been supporting NATO's online communication since 2008 .
Subsidiaries of the Init AG are the specialist for online participation solutions polidia GmbH and the Agendo - Society for political planning mbH.
