INTA was an interreligious-feminist magazine with articles from theology and philosophy , culture and society as well as politics and practice . INTA magazine appeared for the first time in spring 2014 as a quarterly print edition . It was in the tradition of the feminist-theological magazine Schlangenbrut , which was discontinued in 2014 and replaced by INTA.

There was a cooperation with the Jewish association Bet Debora .

A total of twelve issues were published from 2014 to 2016. The print edition was discontinued at the end of 2016 for financial reasons.

content

Each issue has a main topic, which the articles approach from different points of view. Like the brood of snakes, INTA sees itself as a discussion forum for feminist topics, which are now dealt with with a special focus on interreligious dialogue.

INTA offered in every issue:

  • Contributions by Jewish, Christian and Muslim women authors
  • Interviews, portraits, reports
  • Feminist theology and spirituality
  • Interdisciplinary perspectives and gender research
  • Rituals, Sermons and Ideas for Practice
  • Reports of conferences, meetings and encounters
  • Book presentations and material information
  • News from all women countries

The last edition for the time being in print appeared as double issue 11/12 “Fundamental Challenges” at the end of November 2016.

editorial staff

Some of the former editors of the snake brood still belong to the INTA editorial team. Since the first edition, there have only been women on the editorial team, but, unlike with the brood of snakes, it was possible for men to collaborate, as in issue 4: Preaching.

The members of the editorial team were continuously volunteer and included a Muslim imam, a Jew, Protestant pastors, a Roman Catholic theologian and a philosopher. A total of 120 volunteers drove the project forward.

Publishing association

During the first few months, INTA was still edited by the Schlangenbrut eV In the summer of 2016, INTA founded its own publishing association, INTA. Interreligious Feminist Forum eV

Members are the editors, the association is led by Antje Röckemann (chairwoman) and Katrin Berger (deputy chairwoman). The members meet at regular intervals for general meetings and events. They also take part in various theological and feminist events. They see their collaboration not only as an editorial activity, but also, in particular, as a think tank and protected space that enables and promotes discussions that otherwise have little or no lobby. For example, they support queer-feminist issues, are committed to interfaces such as homosexuality and Islam, Judeo-Christian-Muslim dialogue and much more.

A guiding principle for the editorial work was: Don't talk about, but with the religions. The association also aims to promote this direct dialogue.
