The ISCH-2715 ( Russian ИЖ-2715 ) is a small van model that was produced by the Ischmasch works from 1972 to 1997 .

history

After the establishment of the IschMasch works in 1965, the first products in the following year were the Moskvich-408 and the Moskvich-412 . Both were only in production for one year and were only sparse in the Izhevsk region . In 1968 the mid-size sedan Moskvich-408 was launched, which was produced until the summer of 1973. Because of the high price, most citizens still found cars unaffordable. So the company decided to switch production to cheaper and more useful vehicles for the time being. In 1973, the ISCH-2715 was the first model of the new brand to be launched on the market. This was only a box van and intended for medium-sized companies. In 1974 the pickup version with the name ISCH-27151 followed , which should appeal to both businesses and private customers. At the end of the year the model was then also offered as a notchback sedan under the name ISCH-27156 . For politicians there were even extended versions with up to six doors. The basis for the 2715 series was the Moskvich-412 .

engine

Initially, UZAM 412 engines with a displacement of 1487 cm³ and an output of 75 hp were installed. Since this performance seemed too high for many, however, the UZAM-412DE (1487 cm³, 67 hp) was added to the program in 1975.

Revisions

In 1982 the 2715 series was obsolete and demand fell sharply. Therefore the series was stylistically revised in the same year. ISCH-2715-01 and the pickup ISCH-27151-01 thus represented the commercial vehicle range. The notchback sedan, however, was dropped for the time being. In 1988 the ISCH-27156 was re-included in the program as a state limousine for up to six people. Shortly afterwards, IschAwto also started exporting the ISCH-27151 Elite Pickup . It was an extended version of the model, which was sold in Panama and Finland by export companies with great success. Another version for export was the ISCH-27151 Elite 1500 , which was primarily intended for Greece and Western Europe. This had rectangular headlights, an extended loading area as well as marker lights and block indicators on both sides of the vehicle. But most of the buyers of this model type were found in the USSR .

In 1995 the series was revised again, but this time technically. The ISCH-2715 IE now provided the van again and the ISCH-27151 IE again the PickUp. The official export versions and the notchback sedan remained unchanged. The revised models could now accommodate heavier goods of up to 1.5 tons, instead of only 450 to 500 kg as before. In the meantime, IschAwto developed many experimental model types such as B. station wagons, glass vans or even ambulances. In 1997 production of the 2715 series was discontinued.
