history

The recordings took place in February 1982 in ABBA's Polar Music Studio in Stockholm , but Lyngstad's solo project began shortly before the end of the band ABBA. For the debut album, Lyngstad attached great importance to a strong distance to the "typical ABBA sound". The song was produced by Phil Collins , who can also be heard on drums and as a background singer. The documentary Frida - The DVD contains a report on the creation of the album Something's Going On and this song. The whole recording process, the first day in the studio and the release was filmed by the Swedish broadcaster SVT . This documentary contains interviews with Lyngstad, Collins, Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson from ABBA, as well as all musicians involved in the album.

The release was on August 30, 1982, in Switzerland, Belgium, France and Costa Rica the pop-rock - new wave song was a number one hit. The song was used in the series Daria and Scream Queens .

Music video

The music video, which was shot in London in early July 1982 , was directed by Stuart Orme. In the plot of the video, Anni-Frid Lyngstad plays a model who has marital problems and whose husband has cheated on. The video is included on the DVD Frida - The DVD .
