Jørn Lande (born May 31, 1968 in Rjukan , Norway ) is a heavy metal and hard rock singer. He became known as a singer in bands such as Masterplan , Ark , Beyond Twilight , Vagabond and The Snakes and as a solo artist under the name Jorn .

Live and act

Since his father is also a musician, Landes interest in music was aroused at an early age. Jørn Lande names rock music of the 1970s and 1980s as his main inspiration.

Since the second half of the 1980s, Lande toured with various bands and could also be heard as a studio singer on several albums. He has worked with internationally known rock musicians on more than twenty studio albums, such as B. Arjen Anthony Lucassen , Ronnie Le Tekro (TNT), Yngwie J. Malmsteen , Micky Moody , Bernie Marsden (Ex- Whitesnake ), Joe Lynn Turner , Don Airey , Ken Hensley , Uli Jon Roth , Jorn Viggo Lofstad ( Pagan's Mind ) .

After a few years to develop as a singer and songwriter, the first official CD with him as a singer was released in 1994 under the band name Vagabond . In the same year he sang the hymn "Alt for Norge" on the occasion of the participation of the Norwegian national soccer team in the World Cup in the USA .

In 2000 he started his solo project Jorn , with which he is still successful today. In the same year he got into the band Millennium , from which the collaboration with the American rock guitarist Ralph Santolla arose. Lande replaced the original singer Todd Plant, who returned to the band after only one album with Lande on vocals.

Lande has celebrated his greatest successes to date with the power metal band Masterplan , which he joined in 2002 shortly after it was founded by the two ex- Helloween musicians Roland Grapow (guitar) and Uli Kusch (drums). However, Lande left the band for lack of time in 2006, whereupon ex- Riot singer Mike DiMeo joined as his successor. On July 25, 2009 Jørn's return to Masterplan was announced, on May 21, 2010 the album "Time To Be King" was released. On July 2, 2010 the new solo album Dio was released . This is a tribute album in memory of the exceptional singer Ronnie James Dio , who died in May 2010, and consists of a tribute song written by Lande called Song for Ronnie James and several cover songs by Land, which are based on original songs by Dio.

In 2014, Lande contributed the lead vocals for the fictional band Pentakill in the computer game League of Legends . The accompanying album Smite and Ignite was also released in 2014.
