Ian James Robert Allinson (born October 1, 1957 in Stevenage ) is a retired English football player .
life and career
Allinson began his active playing career at Colchester United as a youth in 1974. In 1983, after a promotion and two relegations with Colchester, the striker joined Arsenal on a free transfer . He made his debut for the Gunners in the English League Cup against FC Walsall . After four years in London , he moved to Stoke City in 1987 and Luton Town a year later . After only one more year in Luton , Allinson let his career end with his regular club Colchester United. After his career as a player he still coached Harlow Town , FC Boreham Wood and FC Stotfold.
