Ian Ruff (born December 16, 1946 ) is a former Australian sailor .
successes
Ian Ruff took part in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal in the 470 dinghy . Together with Ian Brown , he finished third behind the Germans Harro Bode and Frank Hübner as well as Antonio Gorostegui and Pedro Millet from Spain. They received the bronze medal with a total of 57 points in front of the tied Soviet boat, before which they were classified thanks to a first place in the sixth race. The two Soviet sailors Viktor and Alexander Potapov only got two second places.
