Ian Stapleton
Ian Stapleton (born September 6, 1959 in Kingston ) is a former Jamaican sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .
In 1979 he won silver in the 4-by-400-meter relay at the Pan American Games in San Juan and came in fifth place at the World Athletics Cup in Montreal with the American 4-by-400-meter relay.
At the Olympic Games in 1980 he reached the quarter-finals over 400 m and was eliminated in the 4-by-400-meter relay in the preliminary run.
He set his personal best of 45.91 s on May 22, 1983 in Austin .
