The Ibarra Peak is a mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises at the end of a ridge that extends from the Royal Society Range in an easterly direction between the Mitchell Glacier and the Lister Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1992 after the US cartographer Phillip D. Ibarra (* 1953) from the United States Geological Survey , who worked in three campaigns from 1988 to 1991, including the establishment of geodetic control stations on Ross Island , was involved in the Antarctic Dry Valleys and at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station .
