The single Ich will brennen was released as part of a campaign to preserve the right to private copying . The Ministry of Justice planned in a second stage, the amendment of the copyright, the major limitation to abolition of the right to private copies. On September 21, 2007, the Federal Council passed the second law regulating copyright in the information society (so-called “second basket”). The law came into force on January 1, 2008.
The single came with a statement from the band, a sticker and a blank CD, on which the buyers should burn their own best-of. In addition to the detailed demands, a corresponding petition was found on the associated website.
