Ichfunktion is a punk band founded in East Berlin in 1987 . It was one of the other bands in the GDR .

Band history

Ichfunktion was created in 1987 when singer and guitarist Key Pankonin left the band Die Firma to perform with Frank “Tschaka” Schacker (bass guitar, vocals), Evi Schaum and Jens-Uwe Haupt (drums). The band belonged to the punk scene in the GDR and gave numerous concerts. In 1990 Ichfunktion took part in the occupation of the " Bailer " in Berlin together with members of Freygang and Die Firma . Foam and Haupt left the band in 1990, Haupt was replaced a few months later by the drummer Boxer . In 1993 the farewell concert took place.
