Ignacio Vázquez (born July 31, 1971 in San Ignacio Cerro Gordo , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of the striker .

Life

Vázquez began his professional career at Club Deportivo Guadalajara , where he was under contract for seven years between 1991 and 1998 and with whom he won the Mexican championship in the summer of 1997 . In a cup game in the 1996/97 season on July 11, 1996, Vázquez managed a flawless hat-trick to lead 3-0 after half-time (final score 5-1) in a derby against local rivals Tecos UAG , with all three goals (in 10, 34 and 40th minute) were scored by penalty .

In the second seven years of his active career, he changed clubs annually and played again for Guadalajara in the 2002/03 season, after having experienced its sporting low in the previous 2001/02 season and with Club León , albeit largely in the role of reservist, was relegated to the second division .

In 1993 Vázquez was also used in the Mexican national team.
