Ignacy Wyssogota Zakrzewski (* 1745 in Białcz near Kościan ; † February 15, 1802 in Żelechów ) was a Polish nobleman and politician in Poland-Lithuania , shortly before the partition of Poland .

Ignacy represented Poznan as a member of the Grand Sejm . He was one of the co-authors of the constitutional reform of May 3, 1791 that went through the Sejm . In 1791 he was one of the founders of the Friends of the Constitution of May 3, 1791 , together with Hugo Kołłątaj and Ignacy Potocki . In 1792 he became mayor of Warsaw ( Prezydent Warszawy ) but was overwhelmed by the Targowica Confederation . After the outbreak of the Kościuszko Uprising and the Warsaw Uprising of 1794, he was returned to his old post. He became head of the Provisional Council of the Duchy of Mazovia , which operated from April 19 to May 27, 1794 and was replaced by the Supreme National Council . When the prison was stormed on June 28, 1794, he saved Fryderyk Józef Moszyński from being lynched. After the partition of Poland he was taken prisoner in St. Petersburg . In 1796 he returned to Poland, where he died.
