Ignatius Kattey

Ignatius Crosby Ogborun Kattey (born August 23, 1948 in Alode, Rivers State ) is an Anglican theologian and Archbishop of the Church of Nigeria .

Life

Kattey is married and has six children. He is the author of several books.

On September 6, 2013, he and his wife Beatrice Kattey were kidnapped; while his wife was released after a few hours, Bishop Kattey was released safely after a little over a week in the port city of Port Harcourt . Kattey later stated that contrary to what the Nigerian police had claimed, they had not been released.
