Ignaz Mader

Ignaz Mader (born July 10, 1866 in Nassereith , † March 2, 1953 in Vasoldsberg ) was an Austrian doctor and local researcher.

Life

After studying medicine at the University of Vienna , Ignaz Mader settled in Brixen as a family doctor in 1895. In his free time he worked as a local researcher and created numerous publications, mainly on place name and settlement research in his vicinity.

In 1943 the University of Innsbruck declared him an honorary member.
