Ignaz Tomaselli
Ignaz Tomaselli (* 1812 in Vienna ; † December 28, 1862 there ) was an Austrian singer ( baritone ) and actor.
Life
Tomaselli was the son of the court opera singer Giuseppe Tomaselli and his second wife Antonia Honikel. Carl , Franz and Katharina Tomaselli were his siblings. Like his siblings, he received his first artistic lessons from his father. Through his mediation he was accepted into the choir of St. Stephan . After his voice broke, he switched to the choir of the court theater .
In 1840 Tomaselli got an engagement at the city theater of Kaschau and two years later he moved to Lemberg . Between 1844 and 1848 Tomaselli was under contract at the Linz Theater . Franz Pokorny brought him to his theater in der Josefstadt in 1849 , but Tomaselli went to the Carltheater the following year . In 1851 he returned to Josefstadt for a short time. The next stops were Pest (1853), Lemberg (1856) and Vienna again in 1857.
Tomaselli died at the age of 50 on December 28, 1862 in Vienna, where he found his final resting place.
