Il Faraglione ( Italian for the stack is) an 8 m high clip rocks from granite before Scott coast of the east Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located 2.7 km east of Enigma Lake in Terra Nova Bay . 50 m separate it from the mainland.
The Italian geoscientist Carlo Baroni from the University of Pisa discovered it in 1987. Italian scientists named it in 1997 after a rock of the same name south of the island of Capri in the Gulf of Naples .
