Ilijan Stojanow ( Bulgarian Илиан Стоянов ; born January 20, 1977 in Kyustendil , Bulgaria ) is a former Bulgarian football player .
Career
societies
Stoyanov began his professional career in 1995 at CSKA Sofia . There he only came to three league appearances, so he moved back to his hometown for the following season, to the newly promoted FK Levski Kyustendil . There he was able to establish himself in central defense in the following years. In 2000 he moved to Levski Sofia , with whom he won the Bulgarian championship in 2001 and 2002. With Levski Sofia Stojanow played several times in the UEFA Cup between 2002 and 2004 . In 2005 he moved to JEF United Ichihara Chiba in Japan. After further stations in Japan, Stojanow ended his active career in 2011.
National team
Stojanow completed a total of 37 international matches for the Bulgarian national football team . He made his debut in 1998. He was part of the Bulgarian squad for the 2004 European Championships , when his team was the last in Group C to be eliminated in the preliminary round without a point. In the games against Denmark and Italy he was used as a left-back. His last international match was in the 3-0 defeat on October 7, 2011 in a friendly against Ukraine .
