Olli Hauenstein (* 1953 in Zurich ) is a Swiss clown .

After graduating from high school , Olli Hauenstein completed training in pantomime at the Teatro Studio Di Roma in 1972 and, one year later, at the State Theater and Circus Academy in Budapest, acting , pantomime, artistry , acrobatics , music, dance with a diploma as well as training at the state puppet theater .

In 1979 he and his stage partner Illi Szekeres began successfully performing as a clown in the duo "Illi & Olli". Tours through Europe, Canada and Japan soon followed , as well as an engagement with the Swiss National Circus Knie and the Circus Roncalli .

From 1992 Olli Hauenstein appears solo. Tours through Europe and appearances at many international festivals followed , including in Paris , Vienna , Barcelona and Tokyo , where he won several prizes. He also appeared at Cirque du Soleil and published a photo book at Lappan Verlag .

Olli Hauenstein lives in Sommeri .
