The Illinois State Route 7 (short IL 7 ) is a state highway in the US state of Illinois , which runs north-south direction.

The State Route begins on US Highway 6 in Rockdale and ends after 45 kilometers in Worth on Illinois State Route 43 .

In the north of Rockdale, the IL 7 meets Interstate 80 and in the urban area of Joliet on US Highways 30 and 52 . It runs east from Lockport and crosses Interstate 355 to the east of the city . In Orlando Park, Illinois State Route 7 first meets US 6 again and shortly afterwards US Highway 45 . After crossing the Calumet Sag Channel , which is part of the Illinois Waterway , the road reaches Worth.
