The game mechanics are very similar to the Zelda games as well as Secret of Mana and the later Terranigma in some aspects . This releases a gem that permanently increases the playful values ​​of attack, defense or health by a certain amount . As a result, the player does not gain strength if he overlooks opponents. If this happens more often it can become very difficult to progress through the game. In addition, medicinal herbs are the only way to actively heal yourself during battles. These are only hidden in the game to a limited extent. Once used, it doesn't bring anything back. However, by collecting stones that your opponents drop, you can fight for an "extra life" through which you - should you have been defeated - start again in the same room. There are also the red jewels that are hidden in the game and that can be exchanged for additional items and skills.
