Ilona Kalmbach

Ilona Kalmbach (born December 10, 1955 in Kettwig , now Essen ) is a German journalist and documentary filmmaker .

In 1994, together with Jürgen Bischoff, she founded the competent filmproduction , which initially produced documentaries about German actors and German film on behalf of the public broadcasters . Kalmbach was, later together with Sabine Jainski , the author of over 30 documentaries.

In 2011 she and Sabine Jainski won the Juliane Bartel Prize for the documentary Mein Leben - Seyran Ates . In 2014 she also won the Franco-German Journalism Prize together with Sabine Jainski in the video category for the documentary Superwomen wanted - In the balancing act between work, children and caring for parents .
