The Franco-German Journalism Prize annually honors authors or editors who have contributed in a special way to a better understanding of Franco-German and European relations with their work over the past twelve months. The prize is awarded in several categories: video (until 2011: television), audio (until 2011: radio), text contribution (until 2011: print media) and multimedia (until 2011: internet). The winners of the 6,000 euro prize will be selected by a Franco-German jury. In addition, a young talent award (6,000 euros) and an undoped Grand German-French Media Award will be awarded. In addition to the main prizes, there were also special prizes such as B. that of the Asko Europa Foundation or the Franco-German Cultural Council .
