Stefan Raue

Stefan Raue (born December 11, 1958 in Wuppertal ) is a German journalist . Since September 1, 2017 he has been director of Deutschlandradio . Before that - since November 2011 - he was trimedial editor-in-chief of Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk .

Life

After graduating from the Wilhelm-Dörpfeld-Gymnasium in Wuppertal, Raue completed a humanities degree and an internship .

From 1987 to 1990 he worked for WDR as a reporter. He then worked as a political editor and head of service at Rias TV in Berlin. From 1992 he headed the current and news departments at Deutsche Welle TV . He then worked at ZDF in various journalistic interfaces, most recently as deputy head of the main editorial department for foreign, domestic, social and educational policy. Since 1997 he has also been the editor-in-chief of the ZDF magazine blickpunkt , which broadcast reports and reports from East Germany.
