Annika Joeres is a German journalist , author and presenter .

Live and act

Joeres comes from the Ruhr area , but currently lives in southern France, where she works as a freelance journalist and France correspondent for various media. She writes for Die Zeit , Süddeutsche Zeitung , taz , der Freitag , ARD and Der Spiegel , among others . She is also part of the Correctiv research platform team , where she works as a climate and environmental journalist.

Until 2010 she was North Rhine-Westphalia correspondent for the Frankfurter Rundschau and Berliner Zeitung for 4 years in Düsseldorf . Before that, she was also deputy editor-in-chief of taz in Düsseldorf. Her favorite topics are climate change and cohesion in Europe. For her work, she has been repeatedly awarded or nominated for journalism prizes.
