Susanne Gotze

Susanne Götze (* 1980 ) is a German journalist , editor , book author and historian .

Live and act

Götze studied literature , political science and history at the Universities of Potsdam , Paris and Grenoble. In 2014 she did her doctorate in Modern History with a Franco-German doctorate on The New French Left from 1958-1968. Commitment, criticism, utopia .

Since 2002 she has been active as a journalist in the fields of science, energy transition, environment and climate. As a freelance journalist, she wrote for the Frankfurter Rundschau , Der Freitag , Zeit Online , the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the daily newspaper, among others . Articles also appeared in Natur , Correctiv , Cicero and National Geographic . In addition, she is active as a radio and television journalist. a. works for Deutschlandfunk . She is also an editor in the science department of Spiegel .

In addition to her journalistic work, she is also the author of several books and book chapters. After years of research in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the USA, she wrote the book report Land under in Paradise in 2018 . Reports from the human age . In 2020 a book with the title Die Klimaschmutzlobby was published together with Annika Joeres .
