Le Républicain Lorrain is a French regional newspaper for the Lorraine region in the Grand Est region .

The newspaper first appeared on June 19, 1919 under the name Metzer Free Journal . Most of it was in German and some pages in French. From 1936 onwards it was published entirely in French.

The newspaper was published by Victor Demange. Afterwards his daughter Marguerite Puhl-Demange, then her husband and later her son was the editor. Since 2007 the newspaper has been published by the CM11-CIC group.
