Daniel Vernet
Daniel Vernet (born May 21, 1945 in Chamalières ; † February 15, 2018 in Paris ) was a French political scientist , journalist and author . He was editor-in-chief of the daily Le Monde .
Life
Daniel Vernet studied political science at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po Paris) and sociology at the philosophical-philological faculty (Faculté des lettres) of the Sorbonne in Paris. From 1973 to 1983 he worked for the French daily Le Monde , a. a. as a correspondent in Bonn, London and Moscow. From 1985 to 1990 he was editor-in-chief of the newspaper, editor-in-chief and from 1991 was responsible for international relations .
