Ilse Fischer (painter)

Ilse Fischer (born September 28, 1900 in Berlin , † 1979 in Eichwalde ) was a German painter and graphic artist .

Live and act

After studying at the United State Schools for Free and Applied Arts in Berlin-Charlottenburg (1921–1925), she was a master class student of Paul Plontke from 1925 to 1929 . She was a member of the atelier community at Klosterstrasse in Berlin. Since 1943 she has been working as a freelancer. After the end of the Second World War, she created glass and wall designs in schools, churches, swimming pools and hospitals. In 1971 she had one last solo exhibition at the Hans Marchwitza Culture House in Potsdam. In 1975 Ilse Fischer received the Theodor Fontane Prize from the Potsdam district .
