Ilse Giesinger
Ilse Giesinger (born January 26, 1947 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 1991 to 2004 Giesinger was a member of the Austrian Federal Council delegated by the Vorarlberg state parliament .
Life
Ilse Giesinger was born on January 26, 1947 in Feldkirch and then attended elementary and secondary school. She completed her further training at the commercial school as well as in the context of further training courses in management, languages, hand-held machine and multi-head machine embroidery. Giesinger initially worked in her parents' business from 1965 to 1973, before becoming the managing general partner in 1973 . In 1999 she became an authorized signatory of Johann Josef Amann KG.
In 1975 Ilse Giesinger was elected for the first time in her home community Koblach as community representative, which she remained until 1990. This was preceded by her entry into the Austrian People's Party and the Economic Association . In 1980 she became a member of the district party leadership in the Feldkirch district , in 1983 a member of the Koblach local party leadership and the state party leadership of the ÖVP Vorarlberg . In 1991 she was sent to Vienna by the Vorarlberg state parliament as a member of the Federal Council and at the same time a member of the state party presidium of the ÖVP Vorarlberg. From October 26, 1991 to October 4, 2004, she was a member of the Federal Council, from July 1, 1994 as its secretary. After the regional elections in Vorarlberg in 2004 , she had to give up the office of Federal Councilor in favor of her party colleague Edgar Mayer .
