Career

At the age of six, Ilya Sharipov took his first steps on the ice in his native Russia. Initially still on the field as an outfield player, he switched to goal after a year because he was fascinated by the painted goalkeeper masks.

His next station was the second team of EC Salzburg , for which he stood between the posts in 41 games in the MHL , a multinational junior league.

For the 2015/16 season , Sharipov moved to EHC Red Bull Munich in the DEL . Furthermore, he was given a sponsorship license and was therefore eligible to play for SC Riessersee in the DEL2 . By 2017 he had completed a total of 32 DEL2 games for the SCR and not a single one for the EHC Red Bull. From May 2017 Sharipov was under contract as a backup with the Bietigheim Steelers . and completed a total of 73 DEL games for the club in the following seasons. In 2018 he won the DEL2 championship with the Steelers. In 2019 he left the club and switched to the DEL to the Schwenninger Wild Wings .
