Imagawa Sadayo ( Japanese 今 川 貞 世 , Imagawa Sadayo ; * 1326 ; † 1420 ) was a Japanese war nobleman and poet.

Imagawa Sadayo was the son of Imagawa Norikunis , a follower of the Shogun Ashikaga Takauji . He himself was first in the service of Ashikaga Yoshiakiras and then his son Ashikaga Yoshimitsu . This sent him in 1370 as military governor to Kyūshū ( Kyūshū Tandai ). He also held various posts as provincial military governor ( shugo ). After he had been deposed from his post in Kyūshū in 1395 because of a defamation, he retired as a Buddhist monk under the name Imagawa Ryōshun (Japanese 今 川 了 俊 ) back to Suruga province and devoted himself to his poetic interests.

As a young man, Imagawa attached great importance to a comprehensive education. He was a student of the waka poet Reizei Tamehide and emerged as a poet himself. In 1402 he published a review of Taiheiki under the title Nan Taiheiki (Japanese 難 太平 記 ) . In 1412 he wrote a textbook for his brother and heir Imagawa Tadaaki .
