Imma Hillerich (born May 23, 1954 in Cologne ) is a German teacher, ministerial official and politician ( Die Grünen ).

education and profession

After attending school in Cologne and Euskirchen , Hillerich studied French, social sciences and education at the University of Bonn from 1972 to 1979 . After the second state examination, she worked as a grammar school teacher in Duisburg until 1987 . After her time in the German Bundestag, she worked as a university teacher at the University of Essen in the educational sciences department. In 1992, Imma Hillerich became a consultant in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the State of Brandenburg . Since 2009 she has been responsible for the school supervision for the upper secondary school in Brandenburg.

politics

Hillerich joined the party Die Grünen in Duisburg in 1984 and was spokeswoman on the board of the Duisburg district association until 1987. In the federal election in 1987 she was elected to the German Bundestag via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia of the Greens , to which she belonged until the end of the 11th electoral period in December 1990. Hillerich was a full member of the Committee on Education and Science in the Bundestag.
