Immenhofen is a part of the municipality of Ruderatshofen in the Swabian district of Ostallgäu .

geography

The church village is located in the Allgäu , on an open area about 1.5 kilometers south of Ruderatshofen on an eastern slope or its outlet.

history

Immenhofen appears for the first time in 919 in a deed of donation in which the St. Mang monastery was awarded two goods in "Ymmenhova".

The village is on the old country road from Nesselwang to Kaufbeuren . The property changed between the Lords of Kemnat , various citizens of Kaufbeur and the Augsburg bishopric .

The Church of St. Nicholas is first mentioned as a chapel on June 24, 1437. Its current form was probably created in the late 15th century, but was redesigned around 1761. Its tower was modeled on that of St. Martins Church in Kaufbeuren. The interior design with the pulpit also dates from 1761.
