Borek is a district of the city of Skuteč in the Czech Republic . It is located five kilometers east of Skuteč and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .

geography

The Rotte Borek is located on the right side above the valley of the Krounka in the Novohradská stupňovina ( Neuschlosser stepland ). The Macháčkův kopec (509 m nm) rises to the southeast, the Heráně (453 m nm) in the northwest. Rychmburk Castle is to the southwest .

Neighboring towns are Zhoř and Brdo in the north, Hluboká and Březiny in the east, Zderaz and Perálec in the south-east, Kutřín and Hněvětice in the south, Předhradí and Lažany in the south-west, Skuteč in the west and Oborský Mlýn, Zbožnov , Lhota u Skutče in the north-west.

history

The first written mention of the village of Borek, which belonged to the Richenburg rule , took place in 1789.

In 1835 the rustic village of Borek in the Chrudim district consisted of 5 scattered houses in which 34 people lived. Borek was subordinate to the Hniewietitz court . The parish was in Richenburg . Until the middle of the 19th century, Borek remained subject to the Richenburg rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Borek formed from 1849 a district of the municipality Hněvětice in the judicial district of Skuch . From 1868 the village belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1869 Borek had 41 residents and consisted of 8 houses. At the end of the 19th century the village was called Přední Borek . In 1900 39 people lived in Borek. In 1930 the village had 26 inhabitants. In 1949 Borek was assigned to the newly formed Okres Hlinsko, since 1961 the village has belonged to Okres Chrudim. On July 1, 1985 Borek was incorporated into Skuteč together with Hněvětice. In the 2001 census, 6 people lived in Borek's 7 houses. On June 4, 2005 the Borůvka lookout tower was opened on the Na Borůvčí plateau between Borek and Hluboká.

The district of Borek is part of the Hněvětice cadastral area.

Attractions

  • Borůvka lookout tower, it is the third lookout tower built by the Toulovcovy Maštale municipal association . The wood-metal construction is 18.5 m high, the viewing platform is 15 m high.
